The Goal...

Tapestry, I like, but ultimately I want everything to be minimal in terms of digital editing, in large part, due to the AI horseshit. I say horseshit, simply because by AI design a lot of sound digital techniques that are readily available will become an act of genericide, as someone who isn't at all artistic in terms of process, will type up with a particular engine, with a particular style and give variations of that particular style. It will be everywhere, in the same way many bands were over played in the late 90s, as the "market" took priority and killed off matters of cultural intrigue. In the future, all things digital will experience genericide hell in my view. Just type what you need and you too can have your very own Levittown look alike. You are the new kind of artist, congrats. Now new artists among other new artists, on the count of 3 let us all faux-creatives goosestep straight into a stunting hell of cultureless nothing. It's snarky, and sure, okay matters may or may not be the case, but I've seen this before with music, now it's art. The artists, when in Nashville, with apps like Napster, but there were more than that, and musicians were losing control of their productions, much like you see that with painters and digital artists today. Their avenue isn't going to sustain...unless you are high on the hog, then that's a different scenario, especially considering being among networked activity and matters like art and taxes, etc..  Still, among the everyday, that ability to control becomes more difficult. Even Tapestry, someone could scrape the images, train, and then the aesthetic is a few words away. Again though, that's digital. Analogue, or physical medium, if the production is kept to a minimum in terms of digital, and simply painted and sold, there is still this ability to hold a line in relation to one's production I think, so long as the production has developed enough to become distinctive. For me, the goal is to focus more on the analogue, move away from the digital and internet stuff, though I would keep TC going, but preferring an emphasis on minimal edits and styles that are a bit more canvas to digital friendly. Meaning, post scanning very little needs to be adjusted in terms of color and we can simply post. IDK.

The internet is...a virtual grid, and it's interesting to explore and create with these words, words, words...though is it something I would want to do indefinitely...no. I like the fact that this is a distinctive avenue for our time, but unless I am further developing something, like an informatic, it is a bit of a time suck I think. It's still interesting, to write...but it's very much mirror play, unless we are engaging the informatic, and even with the informatic, I just think eventually, when you have enough grey hairs, you simply want to live day by day.

So the ultimate goal, is a day by day routine, without the internet, painting canvases and painting for a quick digital post with very little editing. A happy routine if you will...
