Experimenting...

This isn't aiming to be decor obviously, nor is it intended to be easy on the eye. Rather, it's just playing around with lines and even considering notions of so-called degenerate art. This was a warm up beore moving on to something that I am considering, with a style involving mediums that I am making. I am focused on 3 styles of hand painting...I might eventually fold into 1 style, but that would simply be a part of the process. I think of my previous work, Tapestry Caravan, like that of my days drumming in metal bands. It's technical, easy to get into, if that's your thing, and could be commercial as well. It's fun, but it's not something that, in my veiw, holds the attention in terms of process. Bands like Fantomas, Residents, Captain Beefheart, Miles Davis brew sessions, Bjork, etc...fusions, with forms that aren't so easy to digest, that create harmonies and frictions, and unfold in interesting ways...that to me, in terms of process would be the sweet spot, generally speaking. So yes, there is Tapestry, but it's not really the focus, as I am more interested in these experimental forms of hand paintings including experiments with developing mediums...
